We arrived to Copenhagen via plane at the CPH airport. Getting to the city from the airport is easy and a quick train ride away. We stayed at Hotel Tiffany which is very close to the Central Train Station. The train ride took about ten minutes and cost $6.00.
Head out towards the exit of the airport you will see signs pointing to the train, there are two different platforms at the airport, platform 1 took us to the Central Train Station. To purchase tickets use an automated ticket machine, use the first machine you see as the lines to purchase tickets right outside of the platform areas are very long.
Hotel Tiffany was a quick walk from the train station and the central shopping area of Copenhagen located on Stroget Street. It was a very clean hotel, each morning the staff will leave a bag of pastries at your door and the fridge in the room holds drinks and sides for your breakfast.
We purchased a 48 hour tour pass which included all of the water tours within the city, to purchase the card make your way to Nyhaven. Nyhaven is the major tourist attraction but also the area where many of the tours start. We definitely recommend seeing the city by boat, the canals are very low and it’s a thrill to float below.
